Belongg Literature Collective

Belongg Literature Collective is a platform that harnesses the power of inclusive and diverse literature to promote greater understanding, acceptance, and appreciation of diversity across the world. The Collective comprises of regular events and author discussions, the Belongg Library Network, and the Belongg Literature Festival.

Belongg Library

The Belongg Library Network is a network of diversity and inclusion focused literary spaces housed in bookstores, cafes, educational institutions, private book libraries, and cultural spaces across India. We also have a vibrant network of volunteers across cities in India through whom we organise community-engagement activities that talk about diversity, inclusion and literature.

We also have free lending libraries in each of our library network spaces; you can register on our library network website to become a member.

Belongg Literature Festival

The Belongg Online Literature Festival is a delightful coming-together of authors, book publishers, bookshop owners, and lovers and learners of literature who are passionate about identity and diversity and focus on themes of gender, feminism, race, caste, disability, faith, prejudice, and belonging.

We held a 4-day-long festival with over 80 authors and 30 panel discussions talking about diversity and inclusion for our first edition of the festival in July 2020. We partnered with The Wire, British Council and Access For All for the festival.

We will be announcing BOLF 2021 towards the end of 2021 due to the coronavirus situation in India.

Other than this, the Belongg Literature Collective also produces written and multimedia content that include roundtable discussions, author readings, and interviews.
