Ana Filomena Amaral is a Portuguese award-winning writer and an experienced translator in several languages, particularly German. She has published thirteen novels in Portugal, Mexico, Brazil and the USA. Her novel, Vaulted Home: Those Who Cheated Death, won a prize from Los Angeles Book Review. She has participated in several literary festivals in Cape Vert, Índia, Brasil, and Beijing. She is the director of “Words of Fire,” a literary festival in Portugal.
