Eva Baltasar (Barcelona, 1978) is a writer and poet. Her novel Permafrost (Catalan Booksellers’ Award 2018, Finalist Prix Médicis Étranger 2021), translated into more than ten languages, is the first installment of a three volume work with female protagonists which is followed by Boulder (Òmnium Award for the Best Catalan Novel 2020) and which will close with Mamut. The author lives with her daughters in a town near the mountains.
